言 Yan (Spoken Word)

The spoken word reveals itself ‒

on whiteboards, scrawled quickly, in ink

Three lines, a box, and a smudge; nothing more

Do words truly exude themselves

Do they truly embrace the air; gleeful soldiers home from war

to sweep the laughing world from its feet

and disappear into black-and-white anony...

On the 15th of March 2019 more than a thousand students decided to walk out of school to march in a strike against climate change, I was one of them. I walked down Lambton quay with my fellow students chanting about the change we want to see for our future. Whenever I am on the ferry I have two main feelings. The prominent feeling is boredom, but another major feeling is the excitement of being on holiday.

As soon as we hop off the ferry, the first place I want to go is Pelorus Bridge River, with its water which is the perfect temperature for swimming after a long car ride.

With its tall rocks perfect for jumping off, and an amazing location.

Lush greenery either side of the river.
